Zanzibar Petroleum Development Company

Introduction

In 2016 the House of Representatives of Zanzibar enacted the Zanzibar Oil and Gas Act No. 6 of 2016. The Act besides governing the exploration and production of the oil and gas, established ZPDC and ZPRA.

The Company has been established under section 32 of the Zanzibar Oil and Gas Act No. 6 of 2016 and registered under the Company Act No. 15 of 2013. The Company started operation on June 2018, after the appointment of the Chairman of Board of Directors and the Managing Director of the Company.
