Bulk Petroleum Supply and Depot Construction

• – Construction of Petroleum Storage facilities of minimum capacity 50,000MT at Mangapwani Zanzibar
• – To construct a Depot, Bulk importation of Petroleum Products in order to have Reliable and affordable supply of petroleum refined products in Zanzibar
• – Total estimated Project cost is 23Mill USD
• – This Project will provide Petroleum security for Zanzibar Islands which going to result a sustainable economic growth in Zanzibar.
• – Project is expected to be Implemented by 2023 – 2024.

Gas Supply and Distribution

• – Construction of LPG Storage facilities of minimum capacity 1500MT at Mangapwani Zanzibar
• – To construct smart infrastructures for Supply and distribution of LPG in Zanzibar that will support Gas business which will be reliable and affordable supply of LPG in Zanzibar
• – The project will improve standard of living to the people of Zanzibar by enabling them reducing cost of energy for cooking, lighting, environment and other uses.
• – The project is expected to be implemented by 2024 – 2025
• – The project cost to be determined.

Bunkering Project

Zanzibar vision is to see Mangapwani area as a potential hub for storing and supplying petroleum products within the East African Region, with the rising demand of petroleum products in the region estimated at more than 4% annually, Zanzibar is the best place to invest and could become the potential hub for storing and supplying petroleum products. ZPDC has opened the doors of cooperation with all stakeholders.
